This filter strip was put in along the North Fork of the Whitewater River. It is 100 feet wide along both sides of the river and is planted to native grasses and flowers. The landowner received cost share for the planting and will receive annual payments through the CRP program for 15 years for the acres removed from crop production for the filter strip.
